About

Training written by people who work the shifts

Training built inside children's homes, for children's homes.

Why SafeStep Academy exists

Most training for children's homes is either too general or too long. Staff sit through slides about care in general and still do not know what to write after a restraint, who to ring at 2am, or what an inspector will ask them.

SafeStep Academy builds the opposite: short, specific training for the job as it is done in Ofsted-registered children's homes in England, with the regulation behind every rule and a check that it has landed.

How we work

  • One idea per slide. Plain English, short sentences, real scenarios.
  • The law, checked at source. We re-check legislation.gov.uk, GOV.UK and Ofsted every month and update packs when things change.
  • Assessed in the home. A knowledge check on the day and an observed sign-off within four weeks.
  • Honest claims. We never call our training accredited. Physical intervention stays with your home's certified provider.
  • Children protected. Every example uses invented initials. Nothing real ever goes on a slide.
